An interesting tech-related day today. First, problems with Gmail meant I had a difficult time all morning staying in touch with clients. I use Apple Mail to connect to my Gmail account (via IMAP), and I found I had connection problems that prevented me from doing pretty much anything. It seems a lot of other people were having connectivity issues with Gmail as well lately, and I wonder if this is due to their new Gmail Labs at all….
Then, later in the day (1pm EST), was the WWDC Keynote address by Steve Jobs. I was on IRC all morning (craziness, of course, was rampant) following the events, and I’m pretty excited about the new iPhone. It seems like a good price for a very slick device, and I’m sure I’ll be picking one up for myself soon. It also means I’ll be able to use my current iPhone for development, since the iPhone OS 2.0 will be available on it for free.
